9:49 p.m. May 16 — Daniel Nabona Mukaabya, 30, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance by an unauthorized person, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness or similar misconduct after police responded to a call about a man acting suspicious at a gas station on South Main Street.

Police report finding him confused in a parking lot along Center Avenue.

They found six heroin bags and a used syringe inside the vehicle Mukaabya was traveling in.

12:03 p.m. May 10 — A second man was charged in the May 10 incident in which another man, Keith Hohman, led police on a chase.

Robert McCully, 43, of Creighton, was charged with possession of a controlled substance by an unauthorized person and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police found a Suboxone strip, syringe and a spoon with powdered residue.

McCully had an outstanding warrant from the Frazer Township Police Department.

Hohman also faces drug charges and resisting arrest.

11:25 p.m. Sunday — Denzyl Robert-William Jones, 23, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman at his home in the 600 block of Grove City Road in Mercer Township.

Jones is accused of shoving the victim, Nazhle Polk, to the floor. When she got back up, he “picked her up by the legs and slammed her to the ground,” court documents said. He also tried to hold her down by her neck.

Police said before they got there, the defendant attempted to set fire to Polk’s purse on the front porch.

Jones was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. He’s free on his own recognizance.
