Festival marks its 20th year at June event

MARSHALL TWP — Monster Bash, the international classic monster movie conference and film festival, will celebrate its 20th year this summer.

The three-day event will be June 23 to 25 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh-Cranberry, 910 Sheraton Drive.

This year's show will have the usual Monster Bash events, said program director Ron Adams, plus special 20th anniversary events.

Monster Bash features screenings of classic films and television shows, question and answer sessions with celebrities, music, and a dealers room filled with monster movie memorabilia.

An outdoor screening of the film “How to Make a Monster” will be held Saturday night, weather permitting.

Celebrity guests will include: Gary Conway, star of TV's “Land of the Giants” and the 1959 film “How to Make a Monster”; Terry Moore, who starred in 1949's “Mighty Joe Young”; Larry Storch from the classic TV comedy “F-Troop” and the original “Ghost Busters” TV show; Jo Morrow of the 1960 horror classic “13 Ghosts”; Tom Savini from “Creepshow”; and John Russo from “Night Of the Living Dead.”

Hours are 9 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. June 23, 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. June 24 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25.
