Ollio dominates for Butler

Butler pitcher Connor Ollio talks with his catcher Justin Stewart during a game April 21 against Seneca Valley. Ollio tossed a 1-hitter against the Raiders and hurled another 1-hitter against Shaler Friday.

Connor Ollio was masterful and the Butler baseball team was able to manufacture some runs in a 4-1 road win over Shaler Friday.

Ollio tossed a 1-hitter, striking out nine and walking three in seven dominating innings.

The Golden Tornado trailed 1-0 after four, but Butler (9-5, 3-4) scratched across a run in the top of the frame and added three more in the top of the sixth to secure the section win.

Butler scored two runs on wild pitches.

Isaiah Lucas doubled and Sam Gross had a RBI single for the Golden Tornado.

Mars 12, Kiski 4 — Anthony Michalski singled, doubled and drove in four runs as the Planets rolled.

Frank Craska picked up the win, striking out nine in 5 2/3 innings.

He also drove in a pair of runs at the plate.

Brandon Wetherholt singled twice and drove in three for Mars (9-4, 8-1).
