SR track teams roll past Sharon

Hunter Prementine won three events as the Slippery Rock High boys track and field team cruised to a 98-51 win over Sharon.

Prementine won the 110 hurdles, the high jump and the triple jump.

The Slippery Rock girls remained unbeaten with a 119-24 win over the Tigers.

Haley Cararini had a part of three event wins and Macy McCall, Alyssa Dalmagro and Emily Sarver each won multiple individual events for the Rockets (5-0).

Josh Adamson tripled and drove in three runs as Moniteau rallied with six runs in the final two innings to beat Clarion-Limestone, 6-2.

Chance Nagy got the win in relief and also doubled for the Warriors.

Amanda Dailey had three hits, including a double and triple for the Warriors (11-0). Gabby Stewart scored twice and drove in three.

Kennedy DeMatteis worked three perfect innings for the victory, striking out seven.

JoElla Neal had a pair of doubles to help a 15-hit Rocket attack in support of pitcher Cheyenne Hindman, who got the win, striking out five in seven innings.

Corey Schrecengost and Evan Schaffhauser each scored four goals as Freeport jumped out early and cruised to a 12-5 win over Aquinas Academy.

Sean Fennel added two goals and Brennon Riley and Caleb Leyland each scored one for the Yellowjackets (7-4), who have now won four straight.

Boys Volleyball

Nash Bryan had 24 kills, but Butler lost a tough section clash with Shaler, 11-25, 25-16, 22-25, 21-25.

Cody Schnur added three blocks for the Golden Tornado (7-4, 4-4), who need a win at home against Pine-Richland Thursday to make the playoffs.
