Prosecutor to seek death penalty against Lambing
All charges against Keith Jordan Lambing were bound for county court today and District Attorney Rich Goldinger is preparing to seek the death penalty.
Lambing, 20, is charged with criminal homicide and rape in connection with the killing of 4-year-old Bentley Thomas Miller in Butler Township last month.
Lambing is appearing in the Butler County Government Center today for two preliminary hearings.
Attorney Frankie C. Walker II is defending Lambing against the homicide charge. Joseph Smith, with the public defender's office is defending him from the escape charge.
Dr. Todd Luckasevic, a forensic pathologist from Allegheny County who performed the autopsy, testified that the cause of death was ruled as a homicide.
Butler Township Detective Thomas Vensel testified that it was determined Lambing was at the Super 8 motel with the 4-year-old child at the time the injuries were suffered.
The escape charge was also bound for court. The two hearings lasted about 60 minutes.
Lambing's family members declined to comment on the case.
