Penn Theater Performance Company will host the Pittsburgh Doo-Wop Big Band in concert on May 20 at Butler Intermediate High School. The concert will feature sounds from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performance will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. Proceeds will go toward the purchase and renovations of the Penn Theater on Main Street. Nicholas Hazelton of Grove City, a junior at Youngstown State University, is participating in the Dana School of Music opera production “Mozart to Menotti.” Hazelton, a voice major, is a graduate of Grove City High School. The two-opera production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday, all at Bliss Hall on the YSU campus.
