Slippery Rock junior pitcher Cheyenne Hindman pitched a no-hitter in Monday’s 3-0 softball victory over host Sharon.

Hindman struck out 12 and walked a pair in the win.

Julianna Hutchinson homered for the Rockets and Hannah Wilson tallied two base hits.

Hindman was also the winning pitcher in Saturday’s 8-2 win at Meadville, striking out eight and walking one in a complete game.

She added three doubles at the plate. Hutchinson had a single and double and Wilson doubled for the Rockets.

Gunner Becker homered to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth and Zach Van Dyke scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a wild play to lift the Rockets.

Van Dyke stole third without a throw, but when the Franklin pitcher received the ball from the catcher, he snapped a throw toward third that sailed out of play, allowing Van Dyke to score.

Ricky Mineo picked up the win for the Rockets (6-1), throwing 3 1/3 innings of relief.

Chrissy Conklin scored all three goals for Freeport, but the Yellowjackets took a 14-3 loss at Indiana Monday night.
