Moniteau baseball team edges Redbank, 7-6

Williams hits game-winning single in 7th

Brice Williams singled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning in Moniteau's 6-5 baseball win against Redbank Valley on Wednesday.

Wyatt Geibel went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI for the Warriors (6-2, 4-0). Nick Sosigian and Nathan Sosigian both added two hits.

Track and Field

Steven Fawcett ran a leg on the winning 4x800 relay team and picked up individual wins in the 1,600 and 800 runs as Moniteau's boys earned wins over Karns City and Clarion.

For the Gremlins, Chandler Turner won the 400 run and triple jump.

In the girls meet, Moniteau also topped both the Gremlins and Bobcats, with Gabby Stewart placing first in the 100 dash, triple jump and helping the Warriors prevail in the 4x100 relay.

Karns City's Rebecca Pennington had a hand in four wins. She took the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 runs and aided the Gremlins' victory in the 4x800 relay.
