5 alleged drug dealers nabbed in Lyndora raid

Drugs, phones, cash confiscated

BUTLER TWP — Five alleged drug dealers are off the streets after a bust Wednesday night.

The group was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly dealing drugs out of a Lyndora apartment.

Butler County Drug Task Force officers, with help from township police, executed a search warrant at 8:35 p.m. for an apartment at 600 Hansen Ave. and took a resident and four others into custody, according to a release from the task force.

Officers seized 215 stamp bags of suspected heroin, about 9 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, a small amount of marijuana and $664 in cash as well as multiple cell phones, according to court records.

Marcus A. Wells, 23, of Pittsburgh; Jemeal M. Youngblood, 19, of Pittsburgh; Breanna J. Aldrich, 18, of Connellsville; Bryant K. Wells Jr., 26, of Pittsburgh; and Maryrose M. Hatfield, 37, of Butler Township are facing charges including two counts each of felony drug possession, felony criminal conspiracy and misdemeanor drug possession.

Police had been investigating alleged drug sales at that apartment since mid-Februrary.

All five were arraigned Thursday morning by District Judge William T. Fullerton, and are in Butler County Prison.

Bryant Wells is being held on $75,000 bail; Marcus Wells and Youngblood on $50,000 bail each; and Aldrich and Hatfield on $25,000 bail each. Preliminary hearings for the charges have not yet been scheduled.

Hatfield was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia earlier this month after township police caught her allegedly doing drugs in the Comfort Inn parking lot on Route 8.
