Scotece, Lotz

Shannon and Andrew Lotz

Shannon Scotece and Andrew Lotz, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage Nov. 5 at Heinz Chapel in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Louis Lotz officiated. A reception followed at Pittsburgh Marriott North.

The bride is the daughter of Carmine and Barbara Scotece of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Louis and Mary Jean Lotz of Hudsonville, Mich.

The matron of honor was Jessie Spitznagel of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Brionna Matt of Elkins Park, Gretchen O’Sullivan of Washington, Tara Tucci of Pittsburgh, Lisa Butch of Richmond, Ind., and Kristen Scotece of Pittsburgh. The junior bridesmaids were Hannah Lindh and Halle Lindh, both of Pittsburgh.

The flower girls were Ashlyn Scotece of Pittsburgh, Maggie Scotece of Butler and Lorelei Wallace of Pittsburgh.

Performing the duties of best man was Dan Hodgepodge of Pittsburgh. Ushers included Eric Swendson, Kevin Finch, Martin Spitznagel, Justin Vaughn and Sean O’Connell, all of Pittsburgh.

The ring bearers were Parker Spitznagel and Dominic Scotece, both of Pittsburgh.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Butler High School. She graduated from Allegheny College in 2004. She received a doctoral degree from University at Albany-SUNY in 2012.

She is employed by Western Governor’s University in Pittsburgh.

The bridegroom graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1997. He graduated from Hope College in 2001 and received a doctoral degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009.

He is employed by the University of Pittsburgh.

Following a honeymoon trip to Ireland, the couple is making their home in Pittsburgh.
