Dementia expert will present two talksMelissa Weichy, certified dementia practitioner, will provide information about Alzheimer’s disease and tips to reduce caregiver stress at 6:30 p.m. March 29 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Hall, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, and also at 6:30 p.m. April 6 at the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. Both presentations are free.Weichy has been a senior care clinician for 11 years. Library to host ex-Army RangerCRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, in conjunction with history teacher James Lucot Jr. and Cranberry Township Parks and Recreation, will host retired U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Parker Johnston at 6:30 p.m. April 11.Johnston is a retired U.S. marshal with the U.S. Federal Witness Protection Program. He served in Company E, Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol of the U.S. Army Rangers. He is a member of the Hall of Valor, Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall, Pittsburgh.Seating is limited and registration is required. Tour scheduled at Preston ParkBUTLER TWP — Butler Township will offer a tour of Preston Park, 415 S. Eberhart Road, at 1 p.m. April 22.The guided tour of the buildings and grounds will last about three hours.Registration is limited and the deadline to register is April 19.
