Water woes

Pennsylvania American Water workers do repairs near the intersection of North Elm and East Locust streets Monday after a 10-inch main broke, causing flooding on both streets and leaving about 60 customers without service. The company said workers were able to isolate the leak and reduce the number of affected customers to 15. Full water service was restored by about 5:30 p.m. The company said the water line was a 70-year-old cast iron pipe that was at the end of its useful life.
