A suspected narcotics trafficker is wanted in connection with three separate drug deals in 2015.

State police on Tuesday obtained felony arrest warrants for Tony F. Smith, 41, of Butler. He is accused in the warrants of selling heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana in Butler.

In one case, according to court documents, he sold an unspecified number of stamp bags of heroin to a police informant March 20 at a convenience store parking lot on Jefferson Street.

The heroin weighed 0.22 grams, police said.

Smith on May 13 allegedly sold 3.09 grams of marijuana to an informant at an apartment in the 300 block of West Jefferson Street.

Later that same month in 2015, documents said, he sold 3.24 grams of crack to an informant in an alley near Second Avenue.

Police said Smith used a telephone to set up all three alleged drug deals.

He is charged with three counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies.

Additionally, he is charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia both misdemeanors.

Smith on Jan. 19, 2017, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of drug possession in connection with an Aug. 25, 2016, arrest in Butler.

He was free on his own recognizance in that case while awaiting sentencing Thursday in Butler County Court.
