Carole M. Stiefel

Carole M. Stiefel, 82, of Mars died Friday morning at Shel-borne Personal Care Home in Penn Township.

Born Jan. 22, 1935, in Adams Township, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marion Hartzell Cashdollar.

Carole was a former member of the Old Union Presbyterian Church and the Mars United Methodist Church. She enjoyed Silver Sneakers.

Surviving are two daughters, Amy (Bernard) Banyai of Butler and Suzan A. Hixon of Mars; three sons, Steven (Alvie) Stiefel of Douglasville, Ga., John Stiefel of Trafford and Richard J. Stiefel of Douglasville, Ga.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Ronald) Harmon of New York and Penelope McCrea of Maryland; and his brother, James (Mary) Cashdollar of Hanover.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stiefel, whom she married Feb. 13, 1954, and who died Jan. 10, 2001; and her son, David Stiefel.

STIEFEL — Friends of Carole M. Stiefel, who died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Peter deVries, pastor of Old Union Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be at the Old Union Cemetery.
