Charles “Charlie” Dwight Straessley

Charles “Charlie” Dwight Straessley, 62, of Cranberry Township passed away peacefully Saturday at Allegheny General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Charlie was born Feb. 5, 1955, in Ellwood City, the son of the late Samuel “Rodger” and Cora Graham Straessley.

Charlie is survived by his children, Charles “Chad” and Juliana; his granddaughter, Rayne; and the mother of his children and friend, Joann.

He also is survived by his soulmate, Vincene; her children, Frank, Christine and Kelly, and their families; his brother, Fred; and his nephews, Rip and Hunter.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel.

Charlie was a union carpenter, having worked for Union 420 since high school. He also was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast.

STRAESSLEY — Family and friends of Charles “Charlie” Dwight Straessley, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, were received Tuesday at the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, where services will take place at 11 a.m. today. Interment will follow at the Pinewood Memorial Cemetery.In honor of Charlie, his family requests that hats be worn to his services, as his hat was not an accessory, it was a part of him.
