USS Pittsburgh in port
Machinist Mate Jacob Stewart hugs his wife, Brandi Stewart, (dressed in a Tyrannosaurs Rex costume) when the couple was reunited on the pier after the submarine USS Pittsburgh returned to base in Groton, Conn., Friday, following a six-month deployment. The Pittsburgh made port calls in Scotland, Spain, Norway and France. A Los Angeles-class attack submarine, the ship is the Navy’s fourth to be named for Pittsburgh.
