Women charged in fight that broke father's nose

EVANS CITY — State police say an argument between a father and daughter over noise led to serious injuries for the family patriarch.

Kaylan C. Domhoff, 20, and her girlfriend Brianna P. Lowery, 19, both of Butler waived assault charges to court Tuesday before District Judge Wayne Seibel in connection with a family altercation Dec. 27 at the Domhoff home in Connoquenessing Township.

Police reports state Jeffrey Domhoff was putting up shelving in the family’s garage when his daughter, Kaylan Domhoff, came out of her room and told her mother to “shut him up.”

Afterward, Jeffrey Domhoff came into the residence and argued with his daughter. During the argument, Lowery allegedly put a headlock on Jeffrey Domhoff to the point where Domhoff was unable to breathe. She also repeatedly struck him.

While Kaylan Domhoff’s mother, Lorraine, tried to intervene, Lowery pushed her down and the fight ended up outside the home.

After Lowery got off Jeffrey Domhoff, she went back inside and grabbed Lorraine Domhoff by the throat and began striking her, according to the police report.

Jeffrey Domhoff came back inside and Lowery struck him with a sweeper and then a glass tray.

Lorraine Domhoff eventually was able to contact police and Lowery and Kaylan Domhoff fled the area.

Jeffrey Domhoff sustained a broken nose, a laceration in his left ear, bruised ribs, two black eyes and numerous cuts and scratches around the facial area, police reports state.

Lowery and Kaylan Domhoff face charges of simple assault and harassment. A police report states that Kaylan Domhoff also took part in the assault, although details are unknown.

Both will be arraigned in county court on March 28.
