Ryan Smith and Shannon Thompson

A May 27 wedding is being planned by Shannon Leigh Thompson and Ryan Timothy Smith, both of Columbus, Ohio.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Judy Thompson of Hilliards. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Tim and Sandy Smith of Centreville, Va.

The future bride is a 2009 graduate of Moniteau High School. She received bachelor’s degrees from Duquesne University in 2013 and Robert Morris University in 2015.

She is a registered nurse at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

Her fiancé graduated in 2009 from Paul VI Catholic High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in 2013.

He is an assistant vice president and production coach for PNC Bank.
