Regarding Vera Pifer’s letter “Misguided Protesters” (Feb. 5): the writer is the misguided one.

Trump has promised a ban on the Islamic religion since he began campaigning. He ignores the fact that vetting for refugees is extremely stringent and takes 1 1/2 to 2 years.

It has become painfully obvious that the man occupying the Oval Office has neither the time nor the patience for facts. Trump has lied about being a sexual predator; lied about his businesses; lied about why he won’t release his taxes; and most of all continually lied about his “greatness.”

How can you believe anything he says? He sees our country as one of his businesses and expects us to ignore our Constitution so he can enrich himself and his Wall Street billionaire Cabinet.

We will continue to protest this man when we see him threatening everything our country stands for, because we are patriots and we believe in our country, our Constitution, and the future of the United States of America.
