Casey Kretzer scored 15 points, but the Knoch girls basketball team suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss to Burrell, 45-43, Thursday night.

Eliza Oswalt hit a layup at the overtime buzzer for Burrell for the win.

Brooke Smith had a 3-point play at the end of regulation for Burrell to send the game to overtime tied at 39-39.

Burrell led 23-14 at the half.

Moniteau 52, Hickory 32 — Emma Bair had a big night for the Warriors with 18 points, seven rebounds, five blocked shots and five steals.

Alazia Greaves added 17 points for the Warriors, who got off to a sluggish start before outscoring Hickory 30-11 over the second and third quarters.

Kristina DeMatteis added 10 rebounds for Moniteau (15-2).

Girard 48, Slippery Rock 25 — Jenna Whitmer scored 10 points, but the Rockets were held to just three points in the first half in this loss.

Slippery Rock shot just 18 percent from the floor.

General McLane 59, Grove City 46 — Abby Fulkerson scored 20 points, but the Eagles were outscored 47-22 in the second and third quarters in this loss.

Hannah Santom added 15 points and 13 rebounds for Grove City (7-9, 3-5).

Seneca Valley 34, North Hills 25 — The Raiders (7-11, 3-4) won this big section clash.

Mari Reott won a pair of events as the Slippery Rock girls edged Franklin 84-83.

Slippery Rock also swept the relays.

Trent Donaldson won multiple events for the Slippery Rock boys in a 92-42 loss to Franklin.
