Beverly A. McClaine

Beverly A. McClaine, 87, of Butler passed away on Monday at her daughter's home in Hummelstown, Pa.

She was born April 3, 1929, in Marwood to the late Kenneth W. Hesselgesser and Ruth E. Freehling Hesselgesser.

Beverly graduated from Winfield Township High School and received a business degree from Butler Business College.

She worked as the executive secretary to the president of Union Trust Company and later as a teacher's aide at Butler Junior High School.

She met the love of her life, J. Don McClaine, in business college. They were married from Oct. 1, 1950, until Don's passing on May 29, 1989.

She watched over her children's education as an active member of the Butler Parent Teacher Association and later as a teacher's aide in the Butler School System. She later served on the Butler Township Recycling Committee. After retirement, she pursued her passion for flowers and gardening by serving as the president of the Herbal Thymes Club and President of the Oak Hills Garden Club.
