Health care is a right

At his press conference on Jan. 11, President-elect Trump vowed once again to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

The bamboozler in chief and his newly inherited apprentices of the rightist Republican Congress are designing a “death panel” to perform euthanasia on the ACA.

Some pundits already are identifying the coming result of this procedure as “Trump Care.”

Unfortunately, as the Trump University caper and 1,300 other lawsuits against businessman Trump reveal, just about anything that has the Trump brand could be a big scam.

Thusly, affordable health care will be unattainable for millions of hardworking Americans. but that’s the intrinsic nature of a for-profit health care system, and that will be “Trump Care.”

ObamaCare, let’s not forget, was designed within the framework of health care for profit. No wonder millions were left out of that one, too.

Premiums kept skyrocketing to ensure profits for health systems, insurance conglomerates and Big Pharma.

In perspective, of all first world nations, the United States is the one without a single payer health care model that ensures health care for all.

In these more mature, enlightened states, health care is considered the right of the free citizen. No so for the United States. In fact, it is denigrated as just so much creeping socialism.

I say let it creep.
