Leonard F. Maitland

Leonard F. Maitland, 83, of Butler passed away at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 19, 1933, in Butler, the son of the late Leonard King Maitland and Jane Hickey Maitland.

Leonard loved camping, fishing, hunting and especially family time. He was a retired crane man from Armco after 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Doris K. Foulk Maitland; one daughter, Rebecca S. (Zachary) Grey of Butler; two sons, Leonard J. Maitland of Butler and Parrish G. Maitland of West Sunbury; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

MAITLAND — Friends of Leonard F. Maitland, who died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, will be received from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. Friday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev.
