Injured worker is longtime employee of dairy
FORWARD TWP — A longtime employee was flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital on Thursday after being scalded by hot water at the Marburger Dairy.
Matthew Turner, who dairy Vice President Craig Marburger said is in his mid 30s, was burned just before lunchtime when a clamp came off a hot water line on the pasteurizer. Marburger said the scalding water burned Turner’s back and side. He was flown by medical helicopter to the burn unit at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
