Butler Police9:45 p.m. Jan. 12 — Amy L. Allaman, 37, was arrested after she allegedly threatened her roommate’s life at their apartment in the 400 block of East Jefferson Street. She also clashed with police when they got there.Allaman was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and resisting arrest. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail following arraignment.The alleged victim and suspect’s roommate, Michael West, told police that he was in his bedroom when he heard Allaman say, “I’m going to kill you in your sleep. I’m going to stab you, stab you, stab you,” according to court documents.When police spoke to the defendant, she screamed in the officer’s face “about things that had nothing to do with why we were there,” documents said.Allaman appeared impaired and was “foaming at the mouth,” according to a police affidavit. Police noted that the foam was tinted blue, the same color as pills that were scattered on her nightstand.She admitted that she wanted to kill West, police said. After being advised that she was being arrested, the suspect grabbed a dinner plate, documents said.Officers grabbed her arms, but she struggled with police by pushing off the walls with her feet. She eventually was taken to the ground. Still, police said, she resisted.

Butler Twp PoliceWednesday — Albert J. Mastroceasare Jr., 32, of Butler was charged with shoplifting a television, valued at $927, at the Walmart at Butler Commons.Wednesday — Police charged Surenu E. Frank, 31, of Butler with shoplifting 10 items worth a combined $882 at the Butler Commons Walmart. She is charged with retail theft.7:24 p.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt when a vehicle driven by Timothy Manzewitsch, 52, of New Brighton, Beaver County, rear-ended another vehicle on New Castle Road at Campus Lane.Floyd Miller, 58, of Butler, a passenger in the other vehicle, which was driven by Holly Shotts, 42, of Montana, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with a chest injury.Police cited Manzewitsch for driving at an unsafe speed.3:01 a.m. Tuesday — Joshua M. McBride, 25, of Butler was allegedly caught with crack cocaine after being stopped for shoplifting at the Butler Commons Walmart.Police said McBride was spotted leaving the store without paying for two electric heaters and clothing. The merchandise was valued at $169.63.He is charged with retail theft, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Monday — A 1986 Yamaha Big Wheel dirt bike was stolen from a home on West McQuistion Road. The 80cc bike is white and was equipped with large tires. It was taken late Monday night. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

State Police, Butler7:41 p.m. Wednesday — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in Franklin Township. Thomas C. Rafferty, 53, and Deanna L. Kyle, 55, both of Portersville were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.The crash happened when a sport utility vehicle driven by Rafferty and a tractor-trailer driven by Larry C. Nellis, 65, of Knox, Clarion County, collided on Route 422 east of Dick Road. Rafferty and Kyle, his passenger, and Nellis were all wearing seat belts.Police said Rafferty was cited for improperly entering or crossing a road.Tuesday — Dennis S. Drake, 32, of Prospect was charged with drugged driving stemming from a police call Sept. 10 in Worth Township. Troopers found Drake after they were called about 9:30 a.m. for a man passed out in the driver’s seat of a still-running car that was parked on the side of Barron Road.It took several attempts but police eventually awakened the suspect. He appeared to be high on drugs and was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.Toxicology results subsequently showed Drake had several drugs in his system, according to court documents, including the prescription drugs gabapentin, which is primarily used to treat seizures and pain, and clonzapam, which is commonly used to treat anxiety.Additionally, according to court documents, he had the presence of benzoylecgonine, which is a metabolite of cocaine, and the drug lamotrigine, a medication used for seizures.Drake is charged with driving under the influence of drugs.Tuesday — Police charged three young men with drug-related offenses in connection with a traffic stop last month in Brady Township. The trio’s car was first spotted about 2:05 a.m. Dec. 3 crossing into the opposing lane on Route 8 southbound near the intersection with Staff and Hall roads.Troopers moments later watched as the driver, Brian A. Denny, 18, of Renfrew turned around in the parking lot of the Country Coroner Store and went north on Route 8. Police eventually stopped the vehicle after it turned onto Prospect Road.The officers approached the vehicle and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from it, according to court documents. Police suspected Denny was impaired. He subsequently admitted having smoked the drug about an hour earlier.Denny’s two passengers — Michael H. Filer, 19, of Grove City and Joshua R. Fleming, 20, of Oakdale, Allegheny County — turned over one small sandwich baggie each of marijuana.Denny is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and disregarding traffic lanes. Filer and Fleming are both charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.Friday — Travis R. Duttine, 23, of Bruin was arrested on felony forgery and other charges in connection with the suspected theft of blank checks from a Petrolia couple.The couple had employed Duttine as a general laborer when he allegedly took their checks from their vehicle around Jan. 11. The victims checked with their bank, according to court documents, and learned that the defendant had forged and cashed three of their checks for a total of $315.Police said they subsequently interviewed Duttine, who offered up a written confession of wrongdoing. In addition to forgery, he was arraigned Friday on charges of theft by unlawful taking and theft from a vehicle. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail following arraignment.

State Police, Clarion3:30 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Destiny M. Chamoun, 16, of Parker collided with another at Route 58 and Railroad Street in Foxburg. Police said she was cited for improperly entering or crossing a road. Nancy C. Denney, 63, of Parker was the other driver.

State Police, MercerJan. 12 — Police reported they continue to investigate last month’s theft of a pickup truck from the parking lot of the Adesa Auto Auction on Franklin Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County.The red, 2003 Nissan Frontier, owned by Donald G’s Auto Sales of Greenville, was taken between Dec. 2 and 9.
