These items were reported by state police in Butler.

6:20 p.m. Saturday — Police said Body D. Confer, 27, of Polk was driving south on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township when his Toyota Camry hit a deer. Confer and a passenger, Samuel J. Campbell, 28, of Harrisville were not injured.

8 a.m. Friday — Police said that someone egged the car of a Slippery Rock woman between 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, while the vehicle was parked at The Heights Apartments in Slippery Rock Township. Anyone with information should contact police at 724-284-8100.

9 p.m. Jan. 6 — Police said that someone placed something inside a mailbox on the 100 block of Stoughton Road which exploded, causing damage to the mailbox and a stone cover. Anyone with information should contact police at 724-284-8100.
