Christy's 23 leads Knoch

CWNC's Breen reaches 2,000 point mark

Mac Christy tied a career high with 23 points as the Knoch boys basketball team rolled to a 75-53 win over West Allegheny Friday night.

Jackson McKee added 19 points and Devin Campbell 15 for the Knights.

McKee had 12 of his points in the first quarter as Knoch jumped out to a 20-11 lead.

The Knights led 59-33 at the end of three quarters.

Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic 71, Gateway 52 — Kenny Fukon scored 23 to pace the Trojans.

Girls Basketball

Sam Breen surpassed 2,000 career points as Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic beat Burrell 64-42.

Breen, who has committed to the University of Dayton, scored 22 points in the win.

Kylie Huffman added 18 points for the Trojanettes (7-1, 2-0).

Dani Short also scored 12 points for CWNC.

Wrestling

Scott Dietrich, Sam Dietrich, Caleb Baxter and Saavon Mosby all earned pins as Butler rolled to a 54-19 win over Peters Township.

Butler will next be in action Wednesday and Thursday at the Southmoreland Tournament.
