Groves, Ekas

Patricia and Daniel Ekas

Patricia Groves of Wampum and Daniel Ekas of Butler were united in marriage May 29 at The Atrium in Prospect. A 1920s-themed reception followed at The Atrium.

The bride is the daughter of Christine Groves of Wampum and Robert Groves of Edinburg. Parents of the bridegroom are Jennifer Ekas and Matt Organ of Butler and James and Kathy Smith of Martinsburg, W.Va.

The matron of honor was Samantha Berkenpas of Penn Hills, and the maid of honor was Jessi Clark of Connellsville. Bridesmaids included Laura Sturgin of Mercer, Karmyn Culbertson of Morrill, Maine, Rachel Cashdollar of Beaver Falls and Emma Quercio of Butler.

The flower girl was Madyson Hall of Slippery Rock.

Performing the duties of best man was Joe Davis of Butler. Ushers included Marino Quercio, Taylor Flick, Jason Kerchersky, Adam Taylor and Cory Milligan, all of Butler.

The ring bearer was Hunter Organ of Prospect.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 2014 graduate of Geneva College.

She is employed by Resource International in Richmond, Va.

The bridegroom graduated from Butler High School in 2005.

He is employed by Hanover Tavern in Richmond.

Following a honeymoon trip to Sandals in Negril, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Richmond.
