Laurice “Laurie” M. Berry, 79, of Chicora, formerly of Dettford, N.J., died at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday night at Chicora Medical Center following a short illness.

Born March 19, 1937, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Haggerty and the late Alice Sadic Haggerty.

She was a member of the Holy Child Parish of Runnemede, N.J.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Headland and her husband, Mark, of Chicora, and Jennifer Covely and her husband, Charles, of Wenonah, N.J.; her son, Robert Haury, and his wife, Barbara, of Jupiter, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward Haggerty Jr., of Wildwood, N.J., and Willard Haggerty, and his companion, Louise, of New Castle, Del.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and George Haggerty.
