Robert E. King

Robert E. King, 59, of Medina, Ohio, passed away Wednesday at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center.

Born Nov. 15, 1957, in Slippery Rock, he was the son of Dolores Syput King and late Robert C. King.

He was a 1975 graduate of Knoch High School in Saxonburg, and a proud member of the Knoch Knight football team. He was a 1979 graduate of Grove City College and enjoyed a 26-year career with NASA, most recently as a program specialist, at the John Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

Bob was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He greatly enjoyed sports, especially football, as a participant, coach and spectator. He was actively involved in youth sports in the Highland Local School District.

Bob was very much a family man and will be greatly missed by his family.

Surviving are his son, Benjamin of Medina, Ohio; his mother, “Dolly” King of Cabot; his brothers, Jeffrey (Donna) King of Medina, Ohio, Michael (Shelly) King of Butler and Randall (Lisa) King of Wexford; his sister, Kristen (Gary) Lauster of Butler; his stepdaughter, Reagan (Eric) Payne; and his nephews and nieces.

The family is blessed to have been guided through a challenging time by our son and brother, Jeffrey, and his wife, Donna.

KING — There will be no visitation for Robert E. King, who died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016.

The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. Friday for Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio.

The Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio, were entrusted with arrangements.
