Mars gets big night from its dynamic duo

Wasylson and Pelaia score 16 in triumph

Junior Lauren Wasylson and freshman Bella Pelaia both scored 16 points, with Pelaia adding 11 rebounds, as Mars defeated Keystone 54-41 in the opening round of the Slippery Rock Girls Basketball Tip-Off Tournament on Friday.

The Planets, who jumped out to a 21-9 lead in the first quarter, also got 12 points from sophomore point guard Tai Johnson.
