IN MEMORIAM

In loving memory of our husband, dad and Papa James H. Gray

November 28, 1929 –December 5, 2006

Ten Years Without You

Ten years without you,

With heavy heart the time flew.

Some days special, others ordinary, memories of you made them legendary.

Laughter and warm cocoa flow free, as we try to recreate that perfect tree.

Popsisms appear when you least expect, secrets are never to be kept.

Ring in another new year, sharing your resolutions, we fear!

Hearts and flowers sent to lovely ladies, you trained the boys since they were babies.

Many birthdays celebrated by your crew, wishes are the same as the candles they blew.

Bluebirds and crows hover on a routine Monday, like us, recalling the nurturing hand in the driveway.

Hiding eggs remains the tradition, rainbow circling the sun, you are a magician.

April 10th you tied the knot, yours is the marriage that we all sought.

Fireworks, tire swing rides, and weenie roasts, love came naturally without fanfare or boasts.

We give thanks on a Thursday in November, for our family’s most revered member.

11-28 is the day you were born, it is a celebration with no time to mourn.

As the pages of the calendar hit the floor, there is not a day we could ask for more.

Lessons learned and memories made, our love for you will never fade.

Ten years without you, with heavy heart the time flew.

Your Loving Family,

The J.H. Gray Crew
