Lois J. Guillen

Lois J. Guillen, 80, of Franklin passed away Wednesday morning at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Born June 1, 1936, in West Freedom, she was the daughter of the late George and Ada Leoma Fox Pollum.

She was a graduate of Parker High School.

Upon graduation from high school, Lois began a career working for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon. She then worked for many years as billing supervisor at Central Electric Cooperative.

Lois loved to travel and lived abroad for a number of years in England and Venezuela. Lois and her family enjoyed many trips together to places such as Greece, Argentina, Puerto Rico and the annual family beach vacation to the Outer Banks.

She enjoyed reading, art, animals and always keeping up on current events.

Surviving are four children, Herman Guillen and his wife, Sandy, of Columbia, S.C., Lisa Rose of Staunton, Va., Diana Guillen of Fairfax, Va., and Delia Beggs and her husband, Dennis, of Franklin; three grandchildren, Devin Beggs of Pittsburgh, Dia Beggs of New York City and Daria Beggs of Franklin; one brother, Richard Pollum and his wife, Anna, of Mesa, Ariz.; one niece, Jennifer Kimble; and one nephew, Terry Pollum.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

GUILLEN — There will be no visitation for Lois J. Guillen, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 West Park St., Franklin, where a private family memorial service will be conducted.Memorial donations may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, P.O.
