Leonard Nocera

Leonard Nocera, 88, of Butler passed away Monday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 19, 1928, in Butler, to the late Dominick Nocera and Francesa Chiricosta Nocera.

Leonard worked for G.F.I. in Trenton, N.J., as a maintenance mechanic, retiring in 1993. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Leonard was a member of VFW Post 249 and a gold card member of East Butler Fireman's Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Nocera and Kathleen Nocera, both of Butler; one sister, Rita Savannah of Butler; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet L. Thomas Nocera, who he married March 25, 1950, and who died July 10, 2011; two sisters; and three brothers.

NOCERA — Visitation for Leonard Nocera, who died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Dennis L. Krajacic of Community Alliance Church officiating. Burial will take place at the Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Leonard Nocera to the VA Butler Healthcare, 325 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
