Wolves beat up Moniteau

Kane never trails in D9 semifinal

Kane built a 42-0 lead by halftime and cruised to a 55-7 District 9 football playoff victory over Moniteau Friday night.

Erik DeLong led the Wolves with 13 carries for 137 yards and three touchdowns. Reed Williams threw for 255 yards and four scores.

Moniteau's lone score occurred in the fourth quarter as Chance Nagy tossed a touchdown pass to Dalton Anderson.

Yardage was hard to come by against a Kane defense that gives up just nine points per game. As a team, the Warriors gained just 124 total yards.

Kane (11-0) scored on eight-straight possessions in the first half. Moniteau wrapped up the season with a 3-7 record.
