Franklin W. “Frank” Beers Sr.

Franklin W. “Frank” Beers Sr., 79, formerly of Evans City, passed away on Friday while under the care of The Grove at Harmony.

Born June 22, 1937, in Callery, he was the son of the late Joseph and Minnie Allison Beers.

Frank was a 1954 graduate of Evans City High School. He was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Carpentry Local Union 922. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors cutting wood and walking his son’s dogs. He enjoyed remodeling houses and building a fire in his garage while he shoveled snow from his driveway. He loved spending time with his family. Frank will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Wendy (Bruce) Wilson of Butler and John D. “Jack” (Amy) Beers of Evans City; his grandchildren, Rachel Beals, Jessica Reed and Brianna Beers; a great-grandson, Lincoln J. Beals; his brothers, Clifford (Dana) and Charles (Gayle) Beers, both of Callery, and his sister, Betty Roe of Beaver County.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his infant son, Franklin W. Beers. Jr.; his son, Joseph S. Beers, and his sister, Bernadette Neal.

BEERS — The family will welcome friends of Franklin W. “Frank” Beers Sr., who passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.

A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Reid Moon, pastor, officiating.

Frank will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery.
