Falcon spikers now 14-1

A-C Valley's girls volleyball team closed the regular season with a 3-0 sweep at Keystone on Tuesday night.

Olivia Boocks paced the Falcons (14-1) with 12 service points, four aces, nine kills and eight digs.

Emily Wetzel added 10 points, four aces and 14 assists, Kylee Eaton had 11 points and six kills, Josey Terwilliger 14 kills and eight digs.

The Falcons, who won easily by scores of 25-15, 25-5 and 25-19, also benefitted from 16 assists by Sydney Rankin and six kills from Cassie Schwalm.

Grove City 3, Sharon 0 — Ashley Jackson had 13 kills and Macguire Gubba added 15 points, seven kills and 11 assists as the Eagles swept Sharon 25-15, 25-11, 25-13.

Hannah Santom added 18 assists for Grove City.

Union 3, Moniteau 0 — Frankee Remmick had 20 kills and six digs in a 25-23, 25-23, 25-23 win.

Hannah Atzeni added 31 assists for the Damsels.

No individual stats were available for Moniteau.

Slippery Rock 3, Franklin 0 — Carlee McClymonds had nine kills, Morgan Malinski 19 assists and Amy Altman 10 digs and three aces to lead the Rockets to this 25-19, 25-17, 25-13 sweep.

Boys Golf

Seneca Valley's Adam Bushee closed the PIAA Class AAA Championship with a 76 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York.

The effort brought Bushee's two-day total to 159 and tied him for 20th place out of 36 golfers.
