The WPIAL and District 10 soccer and volleyball playoffs are in full swing.

Seneca Valley will host Fox Chapel in a WPIAL Quad-A volleyball match at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Five Butler County area soccer teams will be in action Wednesday:

The Grove City girls will host Fort LeBoeuf in a District 10 Class AA battle at 4 p.m.

The Slippery Rock girls will play at Cambridge Springs, also a D-10 Class AA match, at 4 p.m.

The Seneca Valley boys will play Canon-McMillian in a WPIAL Quad-A match at 6 p.m. at Moon.

The Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic boys will take on Eden Christian in a WPIAL Class A game at 6 p.m. at Mars.

The Mars boys will square off with Moon in a WPIAL Class AAA tilt at 8 p.m. at North Allegheny.

The Freeport volleyball team received a first-round bye in the WPIAL Class AA tournament and will play the winner of Seton-La Salle and Burrell Nov. 1.

Three Butler County girls soccer teams and two volleyball teams will be in action Thursday:

Freeport soccer, which had a first-round bye in the WPIAL Class AA playoffs, will play Yough at site and time to be determined.

Seneca Valley will play Canon McMillan at a site and time to be determined in a WPIAL Quad-A quarterfinal match.

Mars will play Ambridge at a site and time to be determined in a WPIAL Class AAA quarterfinal matchup.

In volleyball, Knoch will host Laurel Highlands in a WPIAL Class AAA battle at 7:30 p.m.

Mars will take on Greensburg Salem in a WPIAL Class AAA match at 6 p.m. at Freeport.

Other playoff scenarios:

The Slippery Rock boys received a first-round bye in the District 10 Class AA soccer playoffs and will play the winner of North East and Sharon Oct. 31.

The Grove City boys soccer team will play Central Tech Oct. 31 in the D-10 Class AAA playoffs.

The District 10 volleyball pairings have not yet been released.

In District 9, the Karns City girls soccer team will play Clearfield in the Class AA championship game on a day and time to be determined.

The Karns City boys soccer team received a bye and will play the winner of Punxsutawney-St. Marys in the Class AA championship game on a day and time to be determined.

The District 9 volleyball pairings have not been released.
