Hilliard 90th birthday
Harold L. Hilliard of Connoquenessing will celebrate his 90th birthday with a dinner and open house for family from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at his home in Connoquenessing.
Hilliard was born Oct. 27, 1926. He married the late Mary Suzanne Boyer on Dec. 16, 1944, in Buttercup, Butler County.
He has seven children, Thomas (Cheryl) Hilliard of Connoquenessing, the late Shirley Duncan, Cindy (Louis) Gatto of Ellwood City, Kathy (Wayne) Saunders of Dunkirk, Md., Darlene (Lee) Milstead of Fredericksburg, Va., Becky Dunlap of Butler and Terri (Stephen) Brown of Slippery Rock.
He also has 19 grandchildren, one deceased grandson, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Hilliard was a machinist at Armco for 44 years. He is U.S. Navy World War II veteran.
He is a member of Connoquenessing Methodist Church where he was a steward.
Hilliard is a fisherman, was a hunter and was an avid bowler. He enjoys time in his yard, spending time with family, his summer camp and watching sports.
