Assistant principal resigns at Moniteau to take new job

CHERRY TWP — Todd Amsler, assistant principal for Moniteau Junior-Senior High School, is moving on.

The Moniteau School Board Monday night accepted his resignation and approved posting the position.

Amsler will continue at Moniteau High School at least until December.

He has worked at the high school as assistant principal for three years.

Amsler had high praise for the people he worked with in the district and he said, “They put kids first.”

The Moniteau job was Amsler's first administrative position after being a health and physical education teacher and football coach in the Lakeview School District in Stoneboro, Mercer County.

“I think we've been able to create a great team here and I was very proud to be a part of it,” he said.

Amsler will be the assistant high school principal for Upper Perkiomen High School in Montgomery County.
