6:59 a.m. Sept. 16 — A car driven by Anthony McGuire, 37, of Greenville struck the rear of an SUV driven by Ryan Herbert, 29, of Butler that was stopped at a red light on North Main Street. Herbert’s passenger, Emily DeVoe, 31, of Butler was taken by Butler Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of neck pain. McGuire’ car was towed from the scene due to it not being insured.

1:59 p.m. Thursday — A pickup driven by Samuel Zurzolo, 77, of Butler and a car driven by Sandra Cammisa, 76, of Butler collided on McCalmont Road. Zurzolo was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. Cammisa was cited for disregarding a traffic lane.

Friday — Ruth Wetzel reported criminal mischief in which her baseboard heater was dislodged from the wall at 130 Burtner Road between 4:25 p.m. Thursday and 11:15 a.m. Friday.

Friday — Police found a riding lawn mower at 431 Claytonia Road in Clay Township. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

6:12 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Timothy Shreffler, 27, of Polk in Venango County hydroplaned on Sandy Lake Polk Road in Sandy Lake Township, sliding into a ditch and rolling onto its left side. Shreffler, who was not injured, was cited for not driving at a safe speed.

8:57 a.m. Oct. 14 — A car driven by Robert Rech, 62, of Erie hit a deer on Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. The deer’s head crashed through the windshield. The driver sustained minor injuries.
