Bible exhibit will come to InstituteFREEPORT, Armstrong County — The Biblical Life Institute, 927 Freeport Road, will host a traveling exhibit of the Museum of the Bible, which is being built in Washington, D.C.The exhibit, which will run from Friday to Oct. 31, features artifacts organized in 13 classifications designed to tell the Bible’s story.Some of the exhibit’s highlights include: 13th-century letters from Jerome, the person responsible for the Latin Vulgate (the Bible used by Roman Catholics); Erasmus’ Greek New Testament from 1521, which was used in the construction of the King James Version of the Bible; and Martin Luther’s 16th-century translation of the New Testament.For more information, call 724-295-2464.

Thorn Creek will show movieThorn Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Rockdale Road, will have a community movie night at 6 p.m. Saturday to show “God is Not Dead.”The movie concerns a philosophy professor who insists that all new students declare that God is dead in his class. One student is not able to do this, so he must defend his faith and prove to the class that God is not dead.
