A 76-year-old woman said she fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed head on onto an oncoming pickup.

"That has never happened to me before," the woman said of the blackout.

The woman said she was traveling to her Garden Grove Drive home when she fell asleep and her white Hyundai Sonata crossed over to the other side of the road near Kelly Chevrolet.

The woman's vehicle hit a GMC Canyon truck just before 2 p.m.

The woman complained of no injuries. The condition of the man driving the truck was not immediately available.

Traffic was rerouted around the accident site for about 45 minutes.
