Sarah Jean Dixon and Edgar C. Boord Jr., both of State College, were united in marriage Sept. 17 in an outdoor wedding at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. The Rev. Mike Grove officiated. A reception followed at Deep Creek Lake.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Terri Dixon of Evans City. Parents of the bridegroom are Ed and Holly Boord of New Brighton.
The honor attendant was Jamie Stevens of Evans City.
The flower girl was Zoey Musi.
Performing the duties of best man was Bob Boord of Conway.
The ring bearer was Braden Stewart.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 2012 graduate of Tyler School of Art at Temple University.
The bridegroom graduated from Freedom High School in 2006 and attended Indiana (Pa.) University.
The couple is residing in State College. They are planning a fall honeymoon.
