READY TO ROLL — Bill Rice tinkers under the hood in this October 1966 picture of stock car No. 28 which he built and his son drove to 25 feature wins on district tracks that season. Looking on is Jack West who drove another Rice-powered Hurricane division racer to 12 feature wins, plus several second place finishes. Rice planned to have a new No. 28 ready for the next season, retiring this car.
