Drug charges filed

CENTER TWP — A northern Butler County woman ended up with more than just a ticket following a traffic stop in July at the Clearview Mall.

State police on Monday also charged Courtney Anne Wilson, 25, of Washington Township with felony drug possession.

The charge was filed more than two months after Wilson nearly caused a crash shortly before 5:30 p.m. July 11 while backing out of a driveway onto Route 8 in Center Township, police said.

A patrol trooper stopped her Subaru Impreza in a fast-food restaurant parking lot at the mall.

While speaking to Wilson at her car, with the driver’s door open, according to court documents, the officer noticed what appeared to be an empty stamp bag of heroin in the door pocket.

Wilson subsequently admitted to having cocaine and a crack pipe in her pants, documents said. Police seized a gram of suspected cocaine and the pipe, documents said.

Wilson is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Additionally, she was ticketed for driving without a license and failing to yield to traffic while backing onto a road.
