Paul Streb

Paul “Pete” Streb, 73, of Natrona Heights, formerly of Zelienople, died Saturday morning at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born July 17, 1943, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Paul and Helen Rhinehart Streb.

Pete had been a heavy equipment operator for Holbein Construction.

He served as an SP4 and sharpshooter in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Pete was an avid hunter. He enjoyed collecting pens and going to the casino, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest joy.

Surviving are his companion, DeLores Hazlett; three sons, Scott (Rosemarie) Streb of Mars, Shawn (Shelley) Streb of Economy Borough and Shad (Evelyn) Streb of Rochester; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Stephanie, Brandon, Kimberly, Abigail and Patrick; four sisters, Patricia (Paul) Mangel of Pittsburgh, Nancy (Ronald) Tyler of Pittsburgh, Donna (Clyde) Wolfe of North Hills and Carol (Roger) Connolly of Pittsburgh; one brother-in-law, Ed Rieger of Zelienople; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Rieger.

STREB — Friends of Paul “Pete” Streb, who died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
