GC's Patterson tosses 6 TDs

Eagles improve record to 5-0

Kameron Patterson, Logan Lutz and A.J. Turner lit it up again.

Patterson threw for 327 yard and six touchdowns and Lutz an Turner each hauled in two TD scores as Grove City rolled to a 61-13 win over Oil City.

Patterson was 16-of-21 passing with an interception — his first of the season.

Patterson now had 18 touchdown passes to just one pick this year.

Turner also scored on defense, scooping up a fumble in the first quarter and rumbling 92 yards to put the Eagles (5-0) up 13-0.

Grove City led 34-13 at the half and 48-13 after three quarters.

Lutz caught TD passes of 2 and 34 and finished with five receptions for 155 yards.

Turner had touchdown receptions of 20 and 40.

Molek Walker scored on a 99-yard interception return for Grove City on the final play of the game.

South Fayette 49, Knoch 14 — Eric Green caught a 74-yard touchdown pass from Mac Christy and Jackson Renfrew also scored ona 26-yard run for the Knights.

South Fayette led 35-7 at the half.

Sharon 49, Slippery Rock 7 — Jacob Shaffer's 2-yard touchdown run with 6 minutes remaining prevented the Rockets from being blanked in District 10, Region 2 play.

Slippery Rock (1-4, 1-4) struggled to get its offense going, only recording 117 yards. Sharon went ahead 21-0 in the first quarter.

A 21 yard scoring run by Jeremiah Norris, followed by touchdown passes of 10 and 5 yards from J.P. McComb put the Tigers ahead for good.

OLSH 42, Summit Academy 0 — The Chargers rolled to an easy win over the Knights (1-3) in a Big Seven Conference matchup.
