County schools see big wins, big losses in Friday night football action

The North Allegeny Tigers rolled out to a 35-0 lead by halftime on the way to a 49-7 victory over the Butler Golden Tornado.

The Mars Planets improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in section play with a 14-8 road win over Highlands.

Running back Mario Latronic scored three TDs as Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic cruised to a 53-7 victory over New Brighton at the Mars Athletic Complex.

Seneca Valley dropped to 2-2 overall and 1-2 in section play after a 42-14 setback to visiting Central Catholic.

Kameron Paterson threw for 327 yards and six touchdowns to carry Grove City past Oil City, 61-13.

Slippery Rock fell to 1-4 in District 10, Region 2 with a 49-7 setback to Sharon.

Summit Academy lost 42-7 to Our Lady of Sacred Heart in a Big Seven Conference game.

Karns City had four scoring plays of more than 50 yards en route to an easy 47-0 win at Punsxutawney.

Chance Nagy had two interceptions and also ran for two TDs to lead Moniteau to a 33-6 KSAC win at Keystone.

The Freeport Yellowjackets overcame first half turnovers on the road to defeat Shady Side Academy, 40-23.
