Butler Police4:50 p.m. Aug. 21 — A car driven by Bradley Harriett, 43, of Butler struck the rear of an SUV driven by Jennifer Faulkner, 39, of Valencia that was slowing for stopped traffic on East Jefferson Street. The impact caused the SUV to hit the rear of a car driven by Ross Partridge, 33, of Gibsonia, which then struck the rear of a car driven by Harold Fleeger, 80, of Butler.The line of traffic was waiting for a fifth vehicle to make a left turn onto School Street. Harriett was cited for careless driving, a vehicle registration violation, and operating a vehicle without insurance.

State Police, Clarion9:10 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup driven by Carter Shipley, 18, of Clarion crossed the center of Curllsville Road in Toby Township, hit a tree and continued into the woods before stopping.
